In general terms its best not to sell just with a crowd, because the price becomes especially inaccurate in such selling.    Im not saying dont sell just its better to sell when there is some amount of buying or you are likely to get the worst price possible.   Thats what creates the fast movements upwards afterwards because there was so few buyers at that level in the fall.

For holders, this current dip is just another opportunity to fill up their bags for cheap.

If you're giving advice to traders to continue to be long on bitcoin this year, then honestly I'm going to argue that you're wrong. It takes way more than just a couple of months of bearish market sentiment for bitcoin to settle at a true bottom. I hate when people make predictions without basis and say that "bitcoin will moon", because there is virtually no chance that bitcoin will moon when the entire market is just covered with bears.

What we could see is a short term adjustment upwards, but there will be no major breakouts. I doubt we'll see BTC above $10k this year again, at least consistently.

so we just have to take your word for it just because you say it will rise? the same way you need to explain WHY you think price is going to drop, you also have to explain WHY you think price will rise.

and more importantly what do you think is going to happen until the rise starts in June? it is already 3 months and based on what can happen during that time, a lot of different strategies can be used to make the best out of the market until then. for example price may continue to fall before it rises back up again and during a fall it is best to sell first and then buy back at the bottom.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or actually believe in what you're saying.

Even though I'm ultra-bullish on bitcoin in the long term, I'm definitely not betting on bitcoin having any major pumps this year. Markets are filled with pessimism that will take some time to change, and not until further dumps happen in my opinion to test where the true support/bottom of BTC at this point is.

I'm not counting on BTC to make me any returns this year, let alone in June. I would like you to justify why you think this way, otherwise don't expect anybody to take you seriously.

We have heard this before as early as February, a lot of people say at the start of Feb 1 we will see Bitcoin rise back up, and then it move to March, now April, and what we are seeing now is June. While it will be interesting to know where you got that data at the same time I was not going to sell my bitcoins anyway I'm a firm believer in holding your bitcoins for a long time I'm hoping to keep my bitcoins at least until the next halving and only then I will decide if I keep holding for even more time or if I sell my bitcoins, that will depend entirely if bitcoin reaches my target price.

Calculation? Maybe you can share some tidbits on how you came up with your predictions for us to check if it's a horse we can ride with. Personally, I do believe that bitcoin will be back to $10k levels, but I don't see it happening anytime this month or may or june. Probably around the tail end of this year but who knows.

It is usually like the past trend repeating itself over and over again. I remember sometimes last year when some people had the opportunity to even get in at $1000 were clamoring on how bitcoin would have a failed rally and drop to $100 and so on. I guess they are where they are today while waiting for that value to come and some of them actually would not want to come out to say how huge a mistake they have made. It is the way the market is, some will use their own hands to screw themselves and then blaming the market for their mistakes.

He may have got the news from some experienced investors, or from such a valid source, i think a newbie have the right to study the market, my be he is new here, but have enough experience in trading bitcoin and other altcoin. I agree with you, 2018 is not the end of bitcoin, currently bitcoin is very unstable, but bitcoin will not die this year, bitcoin definitely goes up higher, holding bitcoin now is a good choice. Entering the middle of 2018 bitcoin will definitely increase higher.

I also believe in this. I can see a big improvement in the price this past few weeks. I am also thinking that after the dropping of price a lot of new investors took the opportunity to buy at lesser cost.
