In general terms its best not to sell just with a crowd, because the price becomes especially inaccurate in such selling.    Im not saying dont sell just its better to sell when there is some amount of buying or you are likely to get the worst price possible.   Thats what creates the fast movements upwards afterwards because there was so few buyers at that level in the fall.

I dont know why June should be that important but any time after the tax year ends is probably more bullish because you remove the people selling in conjunction with each other because of this tax event.  Add in some news about banned advertising I guess it creates alot of weakness

it is already known by everyone that we are in a bear market, before we may have had some doubts but now we are sure. and this bear market is going to last a while. however, i still think that this time it won't last as long as previous times but it still wouldn't be a short one either.
so if i were you, i wouldn't have jumped to calling a date for the start of the bull market because that would be impossible to predict at this point and with all the FUD that has been coming out i don't see a trend reversal happening this fast and easy.

If you're giving advice to traders to continue to be long on bitcoin this year, then honestly I'm going to argue that you're wrong. It takes way more than just a couple of months of bearish market sentiment for bitcoin to settle at a true bottom. I hate when people make predictions without basis and say that "bitcoin will moon", because there is virtually no chance that bitcoin will moon when the entire market is just covered with bears.

What we could see is a short term adjustment upwards, but there will be no major breakouts. I doubt we'll see BTC above $10k this year again, at least consistently.

So yes, don't buy bitcoins in hopes of it "mooning" overnight in June. It's probably going to be a good year or two until the real bull market comes again.

so we just have to take your word for it just because you say it will rise? the same way you need to explain WHY you think price is going to drop, you also have to explain WHY you think price will rise.

and more importantly what do you think is going to happen until the rise starts in June? it is already 3 months and based on what can happen during that time, a lot of different strategies can be used to make the best out of the market until then. for example price may continue to fall before it rises back up again and during a fall it is best to sell first and then buy back at the bottom.

LOL. I know you wanted to calm people here who are selling their bitcoins in the last couple of days. I honestly think that you are genuine and doing it in good faith. However, at least you need to back it up otherwise members here will just mock you around for giving us your predictions. This bearish sentiments has been in the air for 3 months already so I don't think in the next 3 months we can suddenly turn around this market. I don't know if you're being sarcastic or actually believe in what you're saying.

Even though I'm ultra-bullish on bitcoin in the long term, I'm definitely not betting on bitcoin having any major pumps this year. Markets are filled with pessimism that will take some time to change, and not until further dumps happen in my opinion to test where the true support/bottom of BTC at this point is.

I'm not counting on BTC to make me any returns this year, let alone in June. I would like you to justify why you think this way, otherwise don't expect anybody to take you seriously.

e.g. according to you, June will be a month where BTC gets pumped hard, potentially to ATH levels. How will this happen when markets haven't even fully consolidated yet, and is still surrounded by regulative concerns which investors have not fully digested yet?

 yes i have doubts also that it will soar again on this mid year.,  like what happened before but i preferred to invest in short term 'cause it will swing back again for sure due to whales that always manipulate the price when it goes up.  So as of now lets hodl it and wait to until mid to regain our loses on it don't eagerly sell 'cause the bitcoin value is gradually increasing on this moment perhaps it will continue to reach 8k value again.

Yeah, it is your calculation but don't also expect immediately with that calculations because no one could ever say when bitcoin will rise up again. I heard also a news that bitcoin price will continue to go down up until June 2018, so who is telling the truth? May I ask how did you calculate it? Because price projections based on how long the down trend is not a good idea without any technical analysis basis. We have heard this before as early as February, a lot of people say at the start of Feb 1 we will see Bitcoin rise back up, and then it move to March, now April, and what we are seeing now is June. I am tired of these kinds of forecasting as it gives false hope to those who don't know what they are doing. It is misleading them and potentially making them lose money.
