I prefer to send my id than my passport to pass the KYC, the id will be used only local (on your country) but it's hard to be used on international. So don't even send your passport photo, or selvie with your passport even they are profitable. it's risky for you in one time you won't know when will happends, just do the safe way in earn some money.

No it definitely isn't safe to give them your passport information, so if I were you I would not provide them with that information. It just isn't worth it for a airdrop.

What questions is this seriously? Of course I wouldn't. Don't give your details for that low sums of money, have in mind that ICOs can turn up to be scams and at the end of the day you might not recieve tokens but they will have your details. Anyway even if ICO is real they can sell your data or if they get some database breach your details will be leaked. Always think twice before providing your IDs.

This is serious. I saw many examples like that. I don't see the point why you should provide your details for a few bucks. I can understand if you make a big purchase during the ICO. Then maybe. Also KYC can make airdrops more fair so that one person won't claim an airdrop from several accounts. But overall, KYC for airdrops and bounties is definately not a good thing. Who knows what they will do with my info and absolutely no guarantee that you will get tokens at all.

Moreover, some airdrops and bounties conceal the fact that you should complete KYC and tell it at the end of the campaign.

Most KYC require some kind of identification document (ID card, driving license, passport) so at some point you can't avoid it. But I wouldn't do KYC for unknown airdrop just to get few coins, I only do it for verified ICOs. I wonder when will we be able to make online ID on the blockchain and use it everywhere on the internet...

There are projects like "uport" or "brightid" working on this, but my favorite would be ubic-repo, registering your passport via nfc on its own blockchain without revealing your personal data, ubic is also active here on bitcointalk

I will not do that, I hate KYC. my document is important about security. There are still many considerations from airdrop and other bounty without passing this kind of KYC. I will switch elsewhere.

KYC and data security is a huge problem. Even if a project might be legit and doesn't scam you or has the intent to misuse your personal information, it might get compromised/hacked and ultimately this has the same effect.

I would not do that, because many Airdrops are scam. You may not receive tokens, but your information can be passed on to third parties without your participation and consent.

No way. Besides the obvious risks involved, even at $5 it is not worth the effort.

No. I will never sign up on any airdrop for KYC. There will be risk involve doing this. All of your personal information will be taken. For just a few coins, your risking your private information. There should be anonymity regarding this blockchain technology. To avoid scammers and hackers into getting personal information.
