For me,it i think it is really not safe. But,if there's a big amount of money that i will surely receive,i will give my full details of my passport. But,if it is for only a small amount, and my identity and data they will know and be collected,i will never give it them my personal data.

I saw KYC managers tryed to sell personal data of investors and bounty hanters to ICO projects, i think, it's not safety for users.
It is really not very safe. I would not trust just any coin with that data. It is my personal data. There could be consequences.

Some airdrops asking for AML/KYC with airdrop estimated amount for less than $5. Will you sign up?
Maybe it is better to find another airdrop that is not taking your identity, first of all, airdrop is just giving free tokens and there is no assurance that you will receive a token 100%, it is better to avoid that airdrop just to be safe.

Most KYC require some kind of identification document (ID card, driving license, passport) so at some point you can't avoid it. But I wouldn't do KYC for unknown airdrop just to get few coins, I only do it for verified ICOs. I wonder when will we be able to make online ID on the blockchain and use it everywhere on the internet...
That sounds pretty cool, you should make an ICO for that specific project. But that would actually be great if there was an official online ID we could use instead of our driv lic or passport

The use of identification is inevitable, and I only use KYC for the projects I have recognized

Providing your personal information to an unknown group of people that could potentially steal or sell your identity and risk your life and your family's life is an idiotic move. Would you risk your personal security for few bucks of shitty coins? I wouldn't risk it if I were you. If you badly needed money then go find a decent job that can pay you decently or make some part time jobs in here or even do back office jobs in exchange for cryptos. Its not really worth it man. A sane mind won't even raise this kind of question.

It's not worth it to just drop it. Only when you participate in ico, you have to do kyc, that's worth it. Otherwise do not think about it.

it depends. Some airdrops are from ongoing ICOs and it seems with such projects if they require every early holder to do KYC, then I think it might be safe, but you have to do your research well to know theproject you're submitting your docs to.

I don't do kyc, just buy tokens from the market, because it is cheaper and doesn't need kec. Will not reveal privacy.

I think that it is possible to provide your passport when participating in ICO, but providing your own passport for some worthless airdrop or bounty is a very unworthy and dangerous thing.

I think it is not safe to use passport. The risk is to much to used a valueable information for a cheap price. You can used another id's for replacement.

I didn't participate in airdrops with KYC but my friend took part in several bounties with KYC and said that it's safe.

Our document for 5$? Are you kidding? If I personally, I will never take it. Doing KYC or AML in that kind of airdrop is very risky. No one can guarantee that our data or document is safe on their website or platform. Moreover, it is only on the airdrop program. Doing KYC in the trusted platform like top exchanges is also risky, we will not know if there will be some hacks or other irresponsible action due to our document. So if you are asking about safe or not, none guarantee the safety, moreover for that airdrop.

Definitely not! I will never do it. Providing our passports is very risky. How if they use our passport for criminals? Moreover, we only get $5. For what? I don't think to provide my precious data for that airdrop. You know, today, many exchanges obligate us to do KYC, it is a dilemma, since we don't want to provide our data but we have no choice if going to use the exchange, moreover if that is a local exchange in order to cash out money to the bank.

Reading the question on 2018 and if you've done that before, you just did one of the mistakes of your life.
You're putting much risk going with a KYC just for $5 and even it will cost higher, I won't put my identity at risk.
