I was interested in what is the minimum market cap for the asset to have futures market like we have for bitcoin now (CBOE and CBE).

Seems to me they are playing the market by putting both sell orders on the bitcoin markets and thus dumping the market while having leveraged futures opened on the other side... they loose minimum on the bitcoin dumping but win big on the futures shorting.

What do you think?
And until when they can do it, i suppose there is some minimum cap to be able to have futures for the asset.

If you mean what's the minimum market cap an asset must have before a futures market will be opened up then I'm pretty sure there isn't one. As long as the market is big enough that there's a demand then someone will list futures for it.

People are definitely manipulating the market to get better outcomes on their futures contracts, we've seen some high volatility on previous futures closing dates.

nobody cares about market cap when it comes to cryptocurrencies. you may use the number to get a good feeling about it and be able to do some arbitrary comparison in your head but that  doesn't make it right. and the CBOE, CME, NASDAQ,... and anyone else that may add these futures market never do it because of the market cap! they do it because of the interest that was seen from the investors in that thing, in this case it was bitcoin and its high volume.
