The Netherlands is an interesting small country with advantages for Bitcoin.  For the latest news see: http://bitcoinmagazine.com/7725/the-economic-singularity-from-holland-with-love/

The Hacker News discussion about the article is also worth a look:  https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6633400

The fact that the penetration level is already high makes it a good test case.  What will happen when we establish a lot more Bitcoin activity there?

The easiest way is by far to use the direct banking method iDEAL.
Take a look at btcdirect.nl, we don't  have an English translation atm but I think you'll be able to understand Wink

According to these statements Bitcoins are officially recognized as local currency without any special compliance or licensing requirements. As it now stands, trading with bitcoins in the Netherlands is legally no different from barter with sticks of butter, plastic chips or bottles of beer.

Right now anyone with a Dutch bank account can buy bitcoins online in real time without any registration process
Much much better than the usa dictator...erh... regulations

I'm using HappyCoins for a while (the website is in English, too). Very happy with their services and you can use iDEAL or SEPA.

You can also buy btc on bitcoin.de -- with an account on the fidor bank you will receive bitcoins very soon in near future. After gox bitcoin.de has the highest Euro-Volume, so it would work out to buy / sell higher amounts
