Possibility of Bitcoin's value to be zero

The trend now regarding bitcoin is that it constantly goes down in every second and every minute. Is this the end of it? Will there be any possibility that its value becomes zero? Or specifically demonetised? Because for me I think 5 to 10 years from now this will happen simply because of the appearance of other alternative coins. What's your opinion about it?

To answer your question, it's possible for Bitcoin to be Worth 0. It's also possible for it to be Worth 100,000. As far as trend goes, a trend isn't made of half hours, it's made of years.

I see no chance of it happening anytime now or in future. Especially when countries and global leaders are showing interest on the technology as well as on the bitcoin itself. I think it is just preparing its ground to take the next dream run. This usually happens before any upcoming growth. That's true for any real world stocks as well. I am sure a lot of small investors are already buying in small numbers, just need the whales back in the market.

Lets see.  You do know that there is not central vault holding Bitcoin.  So as the price drops that means it is being sold on exchanges.  That means as people are selling and selling, there is someone on the other end buying and buying at these low prices and laughing.   So for something to go to $0 in value it would have to mean that nobody wants to buy it on the exchanges anymore.

That could happen tomorrow.  Once you lose the ability to sell, you lost all value.  It happens to currencies around the world and stock, items that nobody wants anymore.

If you were a major investor, would you rather buy at 20k? or lets say 4k? Knowing all the applications coming out the next 2 years from blockchain, this might be your last chance to make another 10 billion dollars.  This is intentional to scare the sheep so they can make money off of you.  Keep selling to them while they get richer.

If it didn't go to zero in the vicious bear market of 2014-2015 (when it went from $1000 to $170), it won't now. We're just back to the prices that existed last September/October, that's all.

If it didn't go to zero in the vicious bear market of 2014-2015 (when it went from $1000 to $170), it won't now. We're just back to the prices that existed last September/October, that's all.

Impossible to happen for me because the community is getting bigger and bigger. I there will be no users of Bitcoin there will be a chance but how can it happen if opposite is happening right now. Altcoins are not threat to Bitcoin because Altcoins will always be dependent to Bitcoin in any aspect. Bitcoin has it's advantage due to it's adoption worldwide in businesses or even in economic and investments in some countries arround the world.

Yes, I agree to that. Maybe it's possible that it's preparing for it's surprisingly rising up that's why there's a continuous deeply dipping we are experience as of now. My though here is I think the reason why we engaged to this system is just because we are believe and trust to the capability and ability of this system but now I'm just do suspicious to those people here because their prediction and hearsay about btc are so miserable. Those people are not giving importance to this system and making some negative issue or topic that may cause of downing the system and push it to it's end. And even I've heard many negative speculation, my trust and belief to this system are still strong and won't ever last.

I think the probability or chances are low for bitcoins value to be zero. It is because bitcoin is naturally volatile and just risky. Altcoins can never replace bitcoin because it is not independent. Price exchange of altcoins depends on bitcoin, it means that,  its value is directly proportional to bitcoins value. Besides, bitcoins are getting popular as time passes, increasing its demand.

first of all just because there is an "alternative" it doesn't mean bitcoin should go to zero
secondly as long as bitcoin is a good option it will stay up and continue going up and so far altcoins are mainly shitcoins rather than alternatives.

It is just a common fluctuation in Crypto platform so don't think negative you are afraid in current situation I can understand your expectation. But no one should control the crypto platform automatically it will normal in soon. So we must wait for the day all the peoples are still believe the Bitcoin because they know the potential of Bitcoin it will never fail in future.

  Personally I do not believe in the price of bitcoins below 4000 $, because there is a cost of extraction. And if the price is lower than the cost of mining then bitcoin will just die.
But no one can exclude the option of death bitcoin, this situation will help the alts live independently.
But I personally do not believe in the death of bitcoin.
