the consensus seems to be that due to all the ICOs hosted by ETH, seems like logical reasoning, so it's not that surprising.
people buy into ICOs with ETH > company sells it for fiat

seems logical, and now that the ICO frenzy is over, maybe ETH by itself doesn't justify its pice

It is not more than 4months ago I was a beliver of "the flippening". Now it seems very far away.

But the honest truth is that hype around ICO's with massive Facebook marketing, did drive ETH prices up a lot during Q4 of 2017 and during Q1 it was time to cash that out so they could build their projects, that has put a lot of pressure on ETH, which you would not find in the same manner with BTC, since most ICO funds are in ETH.

never i expect that Ethereum will go this far at price 410$ however it is a good thing that it is down for now so that many of us have the chance to get some of ethereum for our holdings, ethereum has a good platform and many ICO uses ethereum platform, anytime of the year it will rise up and be back on top of the market.

Eth price increased because of ICO hype and FOMO.
Now Both are over so ETH is returning to it's real price.

I am not surprised about eth price becouse now bitcoin or altcoins all are falling so it's predicted that eth also falling. this is not good time for cryptocurrency, many bad news we have seen recent past. I hope that crypto market going to be a good position.this is my personal opinion.

Yes I was surprised about the price ethereum is having now. And to think that with this year eth will be promising with what it has been last December. It was very worrying for me to see that it may hit below $300 this month.

this is beyond my expectations, I do not know what caused this and I think it is very bad. but if we look at coinmarketcap then not only the ethereum is falling, the average coin also experiences the same thing and the total market cap is also greatly decreased.

I am not surprised since the last bull run took it so high so i expect the price will go down hard once we enter bear market. Also almost every ico use eth for their funding and i believe they will convert the eth to usd to protect their project's development fund and it will drive the price further down. The ico craze also seems like it started to quiet down so the demand for eth starting to go down.

I am not surprised, its more like a huge disappointment to me. All along I have forseen Ethereum as the next potential crypto ranking after Bitcoin. Ethereum= Technology = Never Dies.. True enough?  Our lives is full of technologies that we can't live without. Anyway i am not giving up hope, i am sure Ethereum will rise up to the moon in the long run. Keep Hopes Alive!

Not really, It is down the same percentage as Bitcoin is down from its ATH and most other altcoins. This is crypto markets we are talking about, anything can happen here. The crazy part is what attracts me to it. But Eth is a coin with very strong fundamentals and will recover much faster than other coins.

I'm surprised, but I also think that the price should be restored. Now ETH falls faster than other big coins, it seems to me that when the steady growth begins its price will also grow faster than other coins.

I can't say I am surprised, More than $1 billion was raised this year alone and majority of this fund is in Ethers and now that the ICO party seems to be dieing the market can not sustain the selling pressure from these ICOs. This is the reason why all these ICOs need to start having a real use case

I'm surprised at this sudden drop. I think $ 400 is not the bottom yet. The main reasons for the fall are three.
1. The lack of positive news.
2. Prohibition of ICO advertising in Google
3. Reduction of exchange attendance (about 50%)
All this suggests that you need to be patient, there will be more difficulties than many expected.

Why I should suprised with that? Almost coin price fall like ETH moreover with bitcoin because in the end of 2017 the price touched $20.000 and just take a three month fall to $7400 are you suprised with that? Before I take into one's head for invested in cryptocurrency I learn more about volatile price a years before. And this happened now, just cooling down and I buy some coin if I get money from signature campaign, that's beautiful right?

Ethereum just like oher altcoins also falls down its price. So I am not surprised with it's swing down price because it will go further up this year. I believe ethereum will come to it's price to recover.
