Hi there,

Just signed up to the forums to report iWantFreeBitcoins.com as a SCAM site. Myself SupaDupaJenkins and a huge list of others have still not been paid for completing offers and withdrawing BitPoints (Worth Bitcoins on iWantFreeBitcoins.com). It's been days and for some people it has been weeks and they still have not been paid at all. I'm quite certain none of us are ever going to get paid and would caution anyone that uses this site that there is a high chance this site is a complete SCAM and is going to just rip you out of 10s of Bitcoins you worked hard doing offers and paying actual money to receive. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't sign up for Cellphone Offers or other Paid Offers but I assume others did (which I feel really bad for them now Sad ).

Happy Bitcoin Mining Everyone and Stay Safe!

Cheers,

SupaDupaJenkins

I agree that this site it a Major SCAM.......This site owes me plenty.....The support emails just bounce back and he never responds to skype which are the two methods that he lists to contact him with issues.....DO NOT SIGN UP OR USE THIS SITE.....This guy should be banned from the forums for this.....

He was eager to reply to my emails to add his website to the BTC Economy Feed.

Please describe in more detail your dispute. I have temporarily removed his website from the feed until I learn more.

Here is my dispute.........I have been waiting for over 4 days for my bitcoins to be sent from his website.....The website says allow up to 72 hours for processing....My request still shows pending.  Also, all emails that i have sent to the support email listed on the website have been returned due to being unable to deliever them to the address.....Also, he has not responded to any of my Skype messages about this matter.  his website also has a link to contact him on skype.....

What I am seeing is several hours of my time spent doing offers on his site and now that it is time to pay, it is not happening....

I'm in the same boat as unsquidly. We are mass discussing this on Dragon's Tale Bitcoin Casino. I've had the same issue with not receiving any payment at all and have waited since July 23rd for the payment to clear. Like unsquidly says it states that you should give it up to 72 hours for the payment to clear which I have done and it's closing at the 90 Hour mark now. I withdrew just over 118 Bitmill. I also talked to him several days this week on Skype and was told that he made some Custom Offers on the Custom Offers page for myself and other Canadians. I am guessing this was an attempt of showing legitimacy for iWantFreeBitcoins.com in which the site now has none at all. I also wen't through around 3-5 customer service boarrds and tickets trying to get rewarded for completing offers and then once I had enough (118 bitmill) I cashed out with no luck receiving rewards what so ever. As soon as I realized I'm not the only one this is happening to I let unsquidly and other people on Dragon's Tale Bitcoin Casino know that I was going to report this site on The Bitcoin Forums.

PS: I highly appreciate the feedback and hope that others in the same boat as me can be rewarded for their completion of offers and surveys as well. If this is not the case I will be happy with this Riley fellow getting the ban hammer and a possible boycott/closing of his site.

I'll keep his website off the feed unless other people come forward and give positive reports.

Wish I could do more :-(

I haven't signed up there, but from reading this thread the problems remind me of freebitcoins.org; there are two threads about that one:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=18308.0
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25578.0

Of course, it might just be a coincidence that the domains sound so similar and that both use the same whois protection and nameservers.

Just saying.

All pending BitCoin cashouts have been processed.  Sorry for the delays, had a pretty busy weekend.  Needed to source more BitCoins.

Everything should be up to date now.

If you have completed any particular offer and not been awarded your points please PM me the details of the offer.  There isn't much I can do if the advertiser does not confirm the offer, but I can remove their offer if they are repeated not rewarded users.

All cashouts will take 24 - 72 hours due to the possibility of offer chargebacks.  If you fill out an offer with junk details you cant expect to be awarded the points, and will likely be banned by the offer provider if you continue to do so.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the support email address, its suppose to be forwarding to me personal address, but obviously something is wrong.  I try to get on skype as much as possible, during the week more often than on weekends.

Any other issues please let me know.

iWantFreeBitcoins has been reinstated in the BTC Economy feed.

In the near future, people will be able to rate vendors and leave comments on items and services in the feed.

If they accept scams like false green card lottery, they probably haven't many ethical principles.

Yourself and 2 other users had their cashouts refunded as BitPoints.  This was because you were awarded 100x the points you should have been for completing a few offers.  The offer provider sent back the points awarded without the decimal places (when they specifically stated they would have a decimal place in their documentation) and therefore you received 100x the points you should have.

I cancelled your cashouts and returned the BitPoints to your balance so that you can cashout again in the future (with the correct amount of BitPoints).

So here are my results about the offers I did:

Installed: iBundle (21 points)
When started, the software complains about not being able to connect.

Installed: Emule (9 points)
Open Source software with a wrapper that installs ShopperReports/Questscan/Clickpotato*

Installed: 7zip (9 points)
Open Source software with a wrapper that installs ShopperReports/Questscan/Clickpotato*

Installed: VLC Media Player/XVid (25.5 points)
Open Source software with a wrapper that installs ShopperReports/Questscan/Clickpotato*

Clicked: Compare Prices and earn BitPoints (1 point)
Result page was just an empty page

Installed: Babylon 9 (19 points)
When started, crashes with an "missing dll" error

Installed: Fantapper plugin (36 points)
Complains Flash 10 is not installed although it is

*) First results in Google about those programs deal with how to remove malware, adware, spyware, trojans

Now I'll wait and see if I get the 120.5 points (currently equals 0.08767462BTC) I was promised for doing these tasks. Then I'll request a payment. Considering that I have loaded a PC with very questionable and/or broken software for just $1.20, I'm not sure if I'll keep on using those offers. Especially since 3 installed simply abuse Open Source software.
