I agree with you, also in the market point of view Ripple is one of coin which really performs well in cryptocrrency bull run. But looks like Ripple still missing the pump of this year and have not shown any kind of growth in recent bull trend. Ripples price is in stable range running between 0.6$ to 0.8$ as compare to its all time high value which is good thing.

Ripple is used bybanks for cross boarder payments, so I think the use case is very simple and clear. The large cloud above Ripple is the high token supply and they are already premined, therefore I am staying away from it.
