You can't blame the market conditions alone for your losses. The quality of the ICOs have also gone down during the same time. When you compare the ICOs so far in 2018 with those in 2017, the difference is obvious.

Investing earlier this year is a bad timing, at that time all the price is at peak, and since Jan the price has fallen down pretty deep, there are two options if you already bought it early, cutloss and then trade again or wait until the price go up again, I prefer to just cutloss and look for another opportunity

There is no such thing called the best time because no one knows how markets will move and we can't time the markets every time accurately. Just buy a small amount of coins whenever you think prices are good and just hold them to sell at profits.

If you have invested in some of the shit ICO projects then you may not recover back your money even markets recover fully. It has become a very challenging job to find out which ICO project is good and which one is a scam so I have almost stopped investing on these projects instead just buy the coins already in the market and happy with the profits I made from it.

If you are aiming for big profit, I think.long term investment of the coins you think hastje potential to grow bigger is the best thing you could do. buy while the market price is not that high.

I invested earlier this year and had profits. The advise is that it's best to go out when you are at the top. Meaning that if you buy cryptos and their prices have risen giving you good profits enough to satisfy you, you sell. Not wait and hold and be greedy. Never be greedy.
