Batch 2 did not ROI unless you were one of the very lucky few who got them early
It ROIed very well for avalon since they mined with Batch II for a very long time.

Also, the 60Gh miners on tradehill went for a reasonable price because they were plug in ready to go.

Yah I was on to that one too late. Price for those was reasonable, ready to go and for immediate ship.

These will go for much cheaper, and also the ASIC arena is so crowded nowdays that it is best to sit and wait for the next step in evolution.

Less than 24 hours and only 20 reels left to get a 6BTC discount from their store. Deal of a lifetime right here!

Did they actually ship them to the "buyers"?

Yeah, the Avalons went out no problem. Other than them declaring them a higher value than they sold at (it cost me an extra $50 on my 3) the process was quick and painless.
One of the ones I got won't mine for more than 10 minutes before crashing though.

Let the chips die on the vine.

That is the right response. There are still people hurting from Avalon... lost investment, seeking refunds and so and so on. Auctions to me reek of desperation. Why not a store with a set price and shipping? Why the extra layer of complexity?

its already set at 30BTC in the store - they just dont realise the chips are only worth about $1-$5 each for a reel, not $10+

Not our problem... no one is going to buy 55nm chips that underperform compared to BitFury and cost what the same?

I guess no one bid on these chips? I didn't really get involved this time as I heard butterfly chips where (2-3GH/s and at 2watts). I hope YiFU is reading this. Smiley

It looks like Yifu might be coming around.

$3000 for a 500 chip reel is a little more reasonable.

Wow already shows out of stock. Guess he was just testing the water for suckers since there are plenty of people willing to buy miners that will not have positive BTC ROI but I guess there are not enough that know how to turn chips into miners Tongue

exactly, they had zero bidders.. but the amateur part is that they just showed the standard response which was from an previous auction, that cleared for 2.21 btc.. min bid for this one was 24 so its all wrong.

I'm still waiting to hear back on getting some sort of samples to do an Avalon Gen2 design, but it's been just silence on their end. When did you request samples?
