Kelvin is a quantum resistant blockchain based on 100% original C code optimized for high load.
Kelvin is flexible to implementing cryptographic algorithms which makes it the safest blockchain ever existed with 10+ signature types on the start. Multichain created almost unlimited potential of speed and productivity. Kelvin kan launch up to 65536 parallel subchains and transactions can be placed in any block of parallel chain. More subchains – more total tx throughput. Every subchain can have it own attributes (type of consensus, size and speed of block etc.)
• Variable PQ sigs • Post-quantum zero-knowledge ring signatures will provide anonymous transactions as an option.
• Variability • Different encryption and wallet types.
• Multichain • & Sharding ]Unlimited (almost) scaling and specific attributes of every subchain.
• Speed • The technology can provide millions of TXs per second.
• Smart Contracts • And Open API for 3rd party coins and projects.
• Usabiliy • Register a Wallet ID instead of random line of figures and numbers.
Kelvin Foundation will hold 30% of total supply until the release of a Kelvin mainnet. These funds will be used by our Blockchain Lab to support early adopters of Kelvin blockchain and their projects.
Token Swap will happen after launch of Kelvin mainnet in Q3 2018. Before that KEL tokens will be released in Ethereum network. Every ERC-20 token will be exchanged on 1 KEL token in Kelvin network.
This is a blitz-survey with answers from Kelvin Team. Read this and it'll be enough for you to discuss the project. For more info, please, read our deliverables down this thread.
1. What is it? Is it a fork?Kelvin is a new blockchain, it has 99% original code.
2. What’s your programming language?It’s C.
3. Okay, why do we need your blockchain? It is quantum resistant and has almost unlimited speed and scaling and it is a safest blockchain ever existed.
4. What is quantum resistant?Quantum computer won’t be able to hack it. Almost all other cryptocurrencies are vulnerable including bitcoin, ethereum etc and even those who has quantum resistance, have only a few signatures, Kelvin will have 10+ PQ sigs at the start.
5. Tech features?Multichain (up to 65536 chains), sharing, variable post-quantum signatures, zero knowledge ring signature, variability as an essential feature.
6. What does «variability» means? It means that Kelvin is flexible to new algorithms implementation and even in 100 years will remain the safest blockchain without forks. Cryptography develops and we’ll be able to implement new features to Kelvin.
7. Do you have MVP?Almost. We’ve already spend 1000+ hours for coding, you can check the GitHub here and our roadmap here.
8. What kind of mining algorithms do you have? We'll have different ones + we have some innovations in it. Check the whitepaper. But basically, if we talk about PoW, it will be a CPU mining with "ASIC-protection".
9. Why are you doing a tokensale? And how much funds are you planning to raise? We need funds for development, research (Blockchain Lab), user adoption etc. Read the whitepaper here, please. Equivalent of 7 million USD will be enough (as a hardcap).
10. Do you have some ready to use things?Actually, yes. We have VPN, … …
11. What about your team and advisers? The team is basically Russian. We have developers from all over Russia, our tech-office is in Novosibirsk Academgorodok, it is a famous Siberian science cluster. We’re looking for local community managers in different regions the world (Asian, European, US etc, if someone would like to join, message us here). We have several advisers they’re famous businessmen and scientists from China, UK and Russia. Sorry for these allegations but you’ll have to trust us here because we’re not allowed to tell the names. They help only by their own initiative and they’re our friends but tokensales and blockchain-advising is not what they want to tell everyone about. Maybe later, after testnet launch we’ll be able to tell their names.
12. Well, ok. Are you planning to find more advisers?Yes, at first, we’re interested in quantum mathematicians, maybe physicists, fintech businessmen, hardcore developers. Blockchain advisers are not our key interest. If you have any idea for an adviser, please, let us know here or right in this thread. We’re interested in people who would help us to CREATE a product, not to PROMOTE it.
13. What's up with bounty? No, no bounty here. We think that bounties are overestimated. We might launch an airdrop, you can register here and we’ll notify you.
14. What’s your main goal right now?To deliver the product. This is a first priority right now. That’s why we don’t have a specific hard cap on presale, only total one (7M USD).
15. What should I do if I want to take part in presale?Click here, we’ll discuss the details. Minimal entry is equivalent of 250k USD, we’ll launch it on March 31.
16. Your project seems interesting. Thanks! Go here and here to get in touch with us. Feel free to ask questions down here (on Bitcointalk).
17. Can I give you an advice?Of course, we’d love that. It would be great if you’d do it here so your message won’t get lost = hesdlo@kelvin.foundation.
