Overall good, informative article for new dice gamblers, but I hope you don't mind if I point out a few grammar mistakes.

Sentence 1: When a gambling amateur first discovers the Martingale strategy, he might easily feel like he found a little piece of heaven.

Sentence 3: If you have never heard of this idea either, it goes something like this:

Does the usage of bots like Ice Dice use strip the "provable gaming" concept? I was advised there is another way provable gaming can be distorted just curious on your thoughts

Using the bet is still provably fair. the code for the bot is javascript you anyone can read the code. all it does is click the button for you automatically. In fact from the server side, we can't tell the difference between a auto roll and a manual roll because it's the same.

Great tip. We will be posting a new article on common betting progressions on BCR soon. Smiley

@aksplace, I recommend you take the time to learn how the cryptography behind provably fair gambling works.

That's a good article. It reminds me of when my maths teacher first explained the Martingale to me 25 years ago.  Grin

I'd only add that an understanding of probability, what are the odds of losing x times in a row, is essential before trying to use it. Also note that is why casinos have table limits.

If you want to practise your strategy you can do it for free and win real coin here http://freebitco.in/?r=178

Martindale can be tricky. Best to start small and get comfortable before going big and serious.

With martingale is certain that you will lose your money eventually.
And it is worst than just gambling because it gives you a false feeling of using a strategy...

Gambling on -EV is certain that you will lose your money eventually, there you go.

Somehow people think Martingale is at fault here, it looks like someone just found out about this particular strategy and noticed it doesn't guarantee profits (huh ? really ?). Just like any -EV gamble, you can profit with this strategy if you can stop after making a profit. You can also profit without using any particular strategy, as long as you stop before you lose.

Just like any -EV gamble, you can profit with this strategy if you can stop after making a profit.

There isn't any guarantee that you will make any profit whatsoever, to stop afterwards.

Your lack of understanding on how probabilities works gives you the illusion that no matter what, you will win at some point soon and then you can stop.

Guess what. Wrong.

Can you highlight the part where I said there were guarantee of profits ? The quote you included is not it, so there must be something somewhere else.

Can you also point out where I got this illusion you mention ?

Hmm...
Looks like your post was about "stop after making a profit", "stop before you lose" and other highly technical stuff...
My bad...
