SWITCHEO (SWH) - the first decentralized exchange on NEO - launches today!

If you know Etherdelta, Forkdelta or IDEX, then you must know that right now there are 0 (zero) decentralized exchanges for NEO and NEP5 tokens (NEP5 = ERC20's of NEO).

Well, today the first dex on NEO launches at 9am UTC. Get excited if you like and hodl NEO, 'cause it should be a good thing for the NEO community!

After many months of hard work, we are thrilled to announce that Switcheo Exchange (https://switcheo.exchange) will be live on 31st March 2018 17:00 SGT(UTC +8)!

They will first list only few coins: NEO, GAS, Switcheo Token (SWH), Red Pulse (RPX), TheKey (TKY), Bridge Protocol (IAM), Trinity (TNC) and DeepBrainChain (DBC).

I just want to check if, how was the launching yesterday, did anyone tried out to make a sample transaction, on how is there service? The exchange fee?

I just realize there is a competitor for the switcheo dex and it looks like neon exchange will be the next competitor for switcheo dex. But how switcheo was better compared with neonexchange while neon tries to distribute the fees that will be collected by the exchange platform to the all of token holders based on the how many stakes they will be holding in their wallet.

Had a look. Feels beta-esque- glitches need to be fixed, many other improvements needed.  However, the team looks legitimate and there are decent coders. They have announced a Bug Bounty program as well.  Something to look forward to until NEX comes along.

Great to see such quick start in NEO platform. It would certainly boost the adoption and use of the platform.
Though there are many issues relating decentralized exchanges that needs to be addressed.

Good to hear that New Networks are expanding just like Ethereum,Waves,Neo Etc. I think Cryptocurrency has a brigth Future to come thanks to Blockchain without it this Advancement  has not been Realized.

DEX ( decentralize exchange ) will be the future with zero listing fee, absolute safe ( token will be keep in your wallet , not exchange wallet ) , because they need more time to complete transaction on DEX , it will be more difficult for sharks and exchange to control price of token immediately ( pump or dump ) . And about how it work ? you will login exchage with your wallet private key , order token , token will be put in st called banlance wallet for transaction , after transaction is completed , you will withdraw your token to your wallet . Hope you feel my answer useful

this is the question I want to ask, so if I want to trade in switcheo then I do not need gas?
i want to sell EFX in switcheo, do i have to have neo for gas cost? because I am not very familiar with NEP5 token.

I've used Switcheo and am really impressed with the platform.  TradingView charting built in, and trades transfer directly out of your NEO wallet.  I've wanted a nice decentralized exchange for awhile and this gives me hope we're getting there.

An interesting feature of the Switcheo DEX is users can subsidize their trading fees with the SWHT token which gets burnt in the process reducing the overall supply

It'll also soon support hardware wallets like Ledger which will make trading more secure
