Very well written article. Explains the key advantages and technical aspects of Bitcoin correctly in layman's terms. Cites many concrete examples of how traditional currencies fail, and how Bitcoin is superior in these cases. It is also balanced and explains some areas where Bitcoin could improve (eg. easiness of purchasing coins). Good work, Jesse Kline! Clearly you have done some research before writing the article.

Good article except for this part...

Let’s say someone purchased a cup of tea at a similar shop in 1961 for $0.25. That same cup of tea would have cost them roughly $1.25 in 2012. Had they kept that quarter in a jar for 50 years, it would have been worth one-fifth of its original value.

This would be true for a 1964 quarter, but a 1961 quarter is worth $3.9515 today.
