SatoshiDice is currently down. Their message is:

SatoshiDICE Tribute’s engine has gone insane. It’s current being sedated, probed, and fondled, until we figure out what the problem is. All deposits are safe and if issues take too long we’ll refund manually. Please see the forum thread for the latest updates, and thank you SINCERELY for bearing with us during this chaos.

Even their old site seems to be down for the moment. Are they really being hacked or is it just a messy crash with their engine?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Probably just technical issues. The site has been running rather poorly from the moment that their new off-chain game was launched.

They launched their new off-chain dice game, but then they took it down for maintenance.

Damn; does anyone know when they're going to go back up?  I sent a bet to them from blockchain.info not knowing they were down.

Looks like bets from blockchain.info are also paused and have been for a while.  I am sure they will get it all straightened out.

Is this a good thing? At least people could rest from gambling for a while.  Cheesy
