Hello!

Soon I am getting new rig(s) and I was plannig to do some minig.

I decided to test if my internet connection is good and I wanted to mine on my actual PC. I know my old CPU can do only a few kHashes, but thats only a test.

I`ve downloaded latest bitcoin client and gui miner. Installed everything. Bitcoin is downloading blocks and says 8 connections.

I`ve downloaded GUIminer and installed it. It finds my CPU. I connect to the pool - deepbit, but speed stays on "connecting" (sometimes connecting problems)

Here is the console:

2011-07-27 13:11:36: Running command: poclbm.exe --user=****--pass=**** -o pit.deepbit.net -p 8332 --device=0 --platform=0 --verbose

What should I do? Is the problem fron my ISP or the hardware is weak?

Looks like your CPU is just too slow to do any work before you get a new block.

Yeah, the CPU is WAY too slow to be at deepbit. New blocks are being found before you can hash out any shares.
With my 23Mhash/s I was lucky enough to get 5-10 shares per block.
Try a smaller pool ( http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?board=41.0 ) with something like less than 100Gh/s to test your CPU.

Here's some questions from me:

1)Have you set up an account with the smaller pools?(I know this sounds like I'm assuming your an idiot but every makes mistakes Wink[There have been plenty of times when my computer won't turn on because the power switch was off]) Embarrassed

2)Could you post the command line for the smaller pool?

3)Are you running any odd programs in the background such as TOR?

4)Could you list the settings and flags you are using?

5)When are you getting your graphics cards(or have you not ordered them yet) because it's a whole lot simpler just to test the real deal.

P.S. If I end up helping you I would much appreciate a few bitcents.(I will do all I can to help you whether or not you tip me.)

1) Yes, I`ve did and I`ve confirmed through e-mail (if needed).

3) I have a nod32 antivir and I don`t use TOR.

4) I don`t use any special flags.

5) I don`t know exacly sine I haven`t choosen everything. Some of the parts I like to buy haven`t arived in my country.

I would like to give you bitcents, but I don`t have any. If i start minig, I will send you.

The username probably has an @ symbol. Put a \ before the @, and see if that helps.
So it's like:
... --user=bla\@bla.com ...

I'm not familiar with these specific pools but I don't believe this will work(but if nothing else does don't let me stop you from trying it).

He may be on the right track though, in the Username: field your username may be off because each pool does it differently.  You should check on your pools' websites or in their threads to see what should put as the miner's username.

P.S. You don't need the bitcoin client if your miner is on a pool but if you want to confirm you can mine I could tell you how to set it up to run solo.
