or
if you need extra rpc commands (rawtransactions/encrypt wallet and more) you can use https://github.com/namecoin-qt/namecoin-qt (and compile namecoind)

Perhaps we should get a mod to move it to a more prominent location?

Cex.io is giving out malformed addresses for NMC deposits,
i was given an address starting with M... and could not make a deposit.

just opened a ticket so they can look into it,
most likely they are using a outdated version,
hopefully this is fixed on the namecoin repository or they will have to compile namecoin-id  from the namecoin-q repository....

strange, should still work,
but if you are in contact with them, ask them to make sure they have updated for hard fork on ghash.io? (they run that too?) - although this is most definitely unrelated
do you want to post the address or in a pm?

It seems all pools (big ones) have responded and have updated, except GHash.io, so if someone can get the message to them or find out if they have upgraded, that would be great, just to be extra safe.

Namecoin addresses starting with M are perfectly valid: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5578/are-there-any-combination-of-letters-that-a-namecoin-address-cannot-start-with (see first answer)

i tried to send 1nmc from kraken few days ago and it said failed.
didn't want to try again...
I thought all NMC addresses started with N,
so i opened a ticket and pointed out to this thread. They said they will look into it.

try -rescan

if doesn't work

backup all datadir folder, and then try with fresh wallet, if still doesn't work, delete nameindex.dat and the other one, if still doesn't work delete all datadir folder,

or check debug.log

my local qt wallet is updated to 0.3.72, so no problem there... but I was wondering about the daemon that I run on my server...

you can compile daemon from same repo, also the namecoind (if on windows and using binaries) is in  the same folders
