You remind me of my stupid bro, he speaks English the same as I do, but still, he has to correct everyone.  Roll Eyes
It is mind-boggling that this person would even attempt to criticize someone for his English skills.

Almost like meritless posters blabbing on about how to earn merits in Meta threads.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I started it merit giveaway topic for quality posters. I just want to spend some sMerit and help people who are a good poster and need merit to improve rank.
I was very surprised what posts they sent me with the proposal for merit rating. 75% of them are collecting post count for signature rewards. Many think it's enough to write two or three sentences, and it must be a quality post, especially in many xyz/discussion threads.
It is possible to beg few merits, but no way to improve rank without good posts.

People are lazy in their essence. Many want to do nothing and at the same time to be rich / famous, etc. And the fact that so rarely is why it is forgotten

People are very clever here and they feel from a distance your real intentions OP. Don't beg for merits. Try to earn them but do it in a proper way. Don't try to outsmart everybody. I don't see one merit awarded to your post.

i was amazed and surprised about the topic because i don't have any idea that merits can be beg or that you can beg to have merits. I am a new member of this forum and has been joining the discussion for a month now. I am drawing both from my experience and from readings the ideas that i am posting. Whether it is meritable or not, i have no idea but what is important for me is that i was able to share my thoughts and ideas here in this forum and that i have another opportunity because of bitcoin.

Guys, I gave him a merit. You know why, because it is obvious to me that he really wanted it pretty badly.

My 1 little piece of merit will have hopefully added joy to his life. If anyone feels like giving me merit as well so I can feel the same way, I won't object to it, but I won't beg either.

Guys, I am not begging for merit right now, but I am posting good content right now. Try and find a grammatical error if you can. Hah! That's right, you can't! My English is perfect right now. I just wrote a couple of sentences and it was good content. You don't have to give me merit either if you don't want to. You can though.

The title is an irony of the OP's true intention of his/her post. I guess he/she thinks that posting a super long post will earn him/her a merit. For the OP, it takes more than just posting like that. Even a one-liner post can be merited by other members as long as they can understand its point, has been really helpful or informative to them and they deem it worthy of a merit. Reading the first few lines of your post, I already know what kind of post it is and how it will go so I didn't even bother to finish the whole story. I hope you get my point.

So this is what a good content looks to you? Let's say you don't have any grammatical error in this post of yours, you think it is now a good content? Reading it all and all you do is contradicting every point you say. It still feels like you're also begging for a merit  Undecided

I gave you a merit too. You want to know why? Because underneath that post was level 2 begging for merit. You were begging and you know it. Don't deny it. You know you were. It is okay. You sound bitter in your post, like someone hasn't treated you right.

I gave you a merit because I'm thinking of those story book characters that are mean to people, but then a nice authoritative character gives them some random act of kindness and it changes them. I hope this happens to you while you receive my merit. (Gives virtual hug to o_e_l_e_o throught the monitor)

And therein lies your issue. You see yourself as an "authoritative character" and not just another shitposter:

Most likely yes, it will most likely fail. However, there is a small chance it will succeed. If it does we will all reap huge rewards.

That was exactly needed of people here, forget about the merit and continue post and sharing idea and create at least 1 genuine post in 1 day. Then, you don't have noticed that there someone who like your post and give you smeit.
Begging merit is really prohibited here, so don't make any foolishness action regarding than that.

And therein lies your issue. You see yourself as an "authoritative character" and not just another shitposter:
Well said mate, yeah we must avoid that too, make a good quality post and genuine to post.

I don't.
I don't blame you for that, but I don't think TheGodson is that bad of a poster., as evidenced by what he's written here.  I haven't checked his other posts, but his English is nowhere near as bad as what we normally see in Bitcoin Discussion--or the OP of this thread for that matter.  What I object to is giving merits to a shitposter, which only encourages garbage like what OP wrote.  Shame on you, TheGodson!

You are allowed to hand it out as you see fit, but I object to this one.  OP is just a babbling fool, playing upon our sympathies for merits.

I doubt on the cases which someone  give their sMerits away too easily. Bad contents, bad written-English, bad-on-other-aspect. Obviously, it don't deserve merits.
Maybe friends or alt-accounts, or at worst merit exchanges.
Of course, they have their rights to do this, but I don't think the approach is good.
Moreover, over time, they might get punishments by moderators.
