But I'm at my wits end.

I've got 6 Ztex 1.15y boards and I cant get BFGminer or CGminer to see any of them. I've changed the driver using zadig what seems like 100's of times. Nothing ever seems to work.

I've looked for a FAQ or setup guide for these miners but I didnt find anything that helped.

Is there a simple point and click way to set these things up?

Win7-64..

Thanks all.

the easiest and laziest way is the bitminter client your stuck on there pool but it is very simple. if they dont show up in that then uninstall all the drivers and delete the drivers by clicking the little box unplug them plug them back in and they will show as a COM device they will not work with cgminer 3.1 or earlier and bitminter client

If its not the cgminer version it could also be that you are lacking the firmware. Although this should only be the case if they were not used for mining before, here you find the steps for firmware flashing: http://www.ztex.de/btcminer/

thanks for all the replies guys.

I ended up figuring out what was wrong, it was/is the computer's USB ports. I plugged one of the Ztex into a laptop thats never been used for mining. Downloaded BFGminer and Zadig, changed the "unidentified device" driver to to WinUSB (or whatever it is), config'd BFGMiner (pool/user/pass/hardware to not use) and it worked.

This is a brand new board and virgin OS (Win7-64 SP1) install so its not like theres something there that shouldn't be. FWIW, the USB ports all work for block erupters, I had some sitting around so I plugged them in for the extra hashing power. They also seem to work for everything else I've plugged into them, just not Ztex.

Strange...

But, as I said, thanks for the replies!  Cheesy
