Luno, a Bitcoin exchange and wallet provider, recently explained that transacting in Bitcoin has become painfully slow. It is also much more expensive than it was a few years ago.
A theoretical maximum speed for Bitcoin that has been circulating online is seven transactions per second. However, in reality the Bitcoin network is achieving maximums of 3 to 4 transactions per second, which is archaic and laughable (akin to sending messenger pigeons in this era, or trying to win a F1 race with an old and tired, also very expensive horse).

Then there came Ethereum, the father of all altcoins, with a revolutionary (!) transaction speed of 20 transactions per second.

Also, another, out-of crypto example: PayPal, with an average speed of 193 transactions per second.

Do you think VISA-like, instant confirmation and speed is going to be possible, in the foreseeable future?

technology is very important in the world of crypto money. technology means speed and security. tomorrow's technology should be planned in line with these rules. I hope everything will be good.

It is true that the Bitcoin and the Ethereum transactions are going very slow recently due to heavy transactions. This means still there is much possibility for the other cryptocurrency also. So, investing in the wide range of crypto definitely make you Millionaire in the very short period. In recent market, Dogecoin transaction is very fast and the fees also very little. So, investing in this coin gives you more profit for the next year.

Wasn't that just created as a joke coin? True, it did make x4 jumps in the past but I highly doubt it will be very profitable in the long term.

It is already existing, i have heard credits coin can confirm 400k transactions per second that is why most of the investors did put a lot of money to its ICO last time and it success is astonishing because 100k transactions per second is superb but to what they have introduced that is a bitcoin slayer project that is why i have invested a little to its ICO.

it is going to possible. Ethereum already planned to put some new protocols in the ethereum blockchain and remember ethereum aims the same scalability as what visa does. It looks like all of the things run smoothly. But before plasma and raiden will be implemented and it will be very important to turning the ethereum network to be combined with POS casper network. To become the same as visa scalability just the matter of time.

Well, after all, networks with several thousand transactions in seconds are already being developed. For example Universa, which most likely takes the place of old networks

Well, all I can say is that in COTI we found out that the blockchain system is too rigid, too linear and does not allow higher transaction speed. So we're implementing DAG (directed acyclic graph) technology, which basically runs faster and greater network usage leads to improved network scalability. (Think like file sharing, more seeders = faster download). We're going to be capable of easily reaching 10.000 tps.

Bitcoin is a form of ancient technology that was established too long ago. ETH and CS did better than it did but could not beat it.
A new project of exchange can be good but the battle will be fierce. ETH and CS are dominating the market for credit card transactions or transaction floors. In order for your project to be successful, you need to make improvements and cheaper and more affordable ETH and CS fees. good luck  Grin

I don't see any coin that is so slow and has any amount of fees as part of the crypto future. Maybe with fee under a penny.

"recently" in this context means 6 months ago Cheesy
and only for about 2 or 3 months

oh i am glad you said Etherum because there were other altcoins that i didn't have any arguments about Cheesy
but as for ethereum it is the shittiest cryptocurrency when it comes to handling transactions. it has the fastest block generation time but it still fails to handle large number of transactions and it FAILS. exchanges had to close down all the ETH deposit and withdrawals multiple times because some ICO (smart contract) was using ethereum and it got so congested that nobody could send any transactions.
there were no delays, you just couldn't send anything....

on top of that if you wanted to run a ETH node you have to have a super computer with strong hardware and nearly 1 TB hard disk to  be able to store the whole blockchain on it because it is bloated out of hand.

So you talked bad about bitcoin and ethereum just to advertise your own coin? I think this is not a good way to advertise whatever project you had. If we are talking about the slow transaction speed of bitcoin, it can be further improved through forks that it will experience in the future. The technology of the future though, IMO is not just referring to bitcoin and ethereum. It also refers to good cryptos that exist now and will exist in the future.

Speed transaction and the fee should become the priority in the future, I believe the BTC developer is looking for many ways to handle this problem, and now the speed still slow but in the future it will be increase, if BTC failed to handle this problem then BTC will be moved from the top
