Search options or lack (sort by time of publishing)

I was wondering or I overlooked (probably i am saying that out of fear for getting negative karma)
The option when searching to have the results sorted by date of publishing

The option when searching to have the results sorted by date of publishing

Instead of searching through the search box (upper right corner of each page):

Step 1. Click the "magnifier" icon (behind the search box itself)
Step 2. On "Forum Search" area, look for the following:

• "Message age:" - You can choose its range.
• "Search order:" - You can choose "Most recent topics first" and "Oldest topics first".

Do note that search index has been pretty broken lately. For example, if you search for "merit", there are only 10 posts in 2018.

The Google option also have "Sort by: Date" option (but searches whole HTML page instead of text in messages.)
