Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

From what I've read it depends on the miner you are using on whether or not it's even worth getting into it. I looked at getting a KNC Jupiter (550Ghz) but unless its a model from the first batch (sent/received in Oct) it's almost not worth as of Nov as there are 1TH units coming out very soon.

I don't really understand what you are trying to ask. But you can always try solo, if you are lucky you might get a block in a week.

You just need to edit the bfgminer.conf with  coin client details then make sure the client is open and synced before you lauch bfgminer
