Well I guess this thread in Newbies section is as good as any other for this existential newbies first post.
Wonder what's the point?

Glad someone made this thread so I dont have to.

And to think, all I wanted to do was tell a fellow GTX 670 user how to increase their output through cudaminer.

EDIT: Wtf, I'm being prevented from posting this because my account supposedly made a post within the last 360 seconds. How is that possible when I have zero posts?

Mind telling me this? I am currently using cudaminer and on an ASUS GTX 670.

New members are confined to the newbie area until they have a certain number of posts and time on the site. I think it is something like 5 posts and a certain number of hours logged in, can't remember exactly though.

All you need is one post in newbie area and wait 4 hours

Thats the most stupid rule I've ever heard of. Newbies cant answer questions about mining to me.

AND I KNOW CAUSE I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM MYSELF!!

Ahh just seen this:

Ok thanks! I read the sticky; it says:

"Newbie Restrictions
You can only post in the Newbie and Local sub-forums till you have made one post and waited 4 hours. This post must be substantial: at least several sentences. The other two restrictions are you need 1 post to be able to send a PM and 10 posts to put a link in your sig."

I've been a member here since April of this year, but I haven't made any posts yet, so this explains my "restricted" status...
So (please correct me if I'm wrong), I have to wait 4 hours from starting this topic to be able to reply to a thread outside of the "Newbie" forum...

Thanks for your help!
Happy mining!  Grin

Thanks

I have the exact same problem. Actually I joined right now to reply to a thread. I also don't see where this "sticky" thing is. Can anyone show me?

New to the forum. Main focus is learning more about Quark and investing into other alt crypto currencies. Overall, it looks like the virtual currency world is a movement versus a trend, which is positive for the folks that take an early investment. Have only been around for a little over a month.

Thanks.
