Fellow bitcoinusers,

I decided to create a Google Authenticator for Windows this weekend.
I got sick of grabbing my phone each time I log in to Google Authorized websites like Bitstamp.
On the hand, I did not want to disable the G.Authorization, since it is a very good way to secure your account.

How do I use this with bitstamp.net?
Go to Account -> Security -> Two Way Authentication -> enable.
Then type/copy&paste/scan it into Google Authenticator for Windows and you are good to go!

Application has an built-in QR-code scanner, this scanner will work ONLY with bitstamp.net QR-Code!

Why should I download this?
When you log in to sites like bitstamp.net alot (and like to have a secured account using the Two Way Authentication), you'll want to have a validation code nearby.
With this application, your G.Auth. validation code is just two clicks away (double-click icon in tray)

Make sure you press the 'Save settings' button before you close the application, or you will lose your Authentication key!

I did not have much time to check for bugs, so please reply and post a 'bug report' if you run into any errors/flaws.
Ideas are welcome as well!

Some information about Google Authenticator:
What is Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is a way to make your digital life safer!
GAuthenticator can be used to generate Google Authenticator validation codes.
Google Authenticator validation codes are usually generated by apps available for smartphones.
Authorization (a validation code) will be asked prior to logging in on certain sites (example: bitstamp.net).

How do I use Google Authenticator?

.Net Framework is required in order to run this software properly.
1. Retrieve a Authentication Key and ID from your website or service.
(If your website/service gives you a QR-code, use the QR-Scanner button above).
2. Enter it in the above editboxes (The ID does not affect your generated validation code).
3. Save your settings.
4. You should now be able to copy a validation code by pressing the 'Copy validation code' button above.
5. Log in with your validation code.

Extras:

1. Close the window with 'Minimize to tray' checked.
2. To quickly copy a code to your clipboard, doubleclick the icon in your traybar (or right-mouse click and press 'Copy Code').
3. In order to go back to the main menu, right click the icon and select an option of your choice.

2 3 posts and no source code? Looks suspicious. My advice? Don't even bother downloading this.

I know I don't have a lot of posts.. But you can't blame me for that, you could at least give it a try. I did put quite some work in this.
Above that, you can always check it with your antivirus  Wink

Malware

Creates registry key DC3_FEXEC (TROJ_SCAR.RJ, downloader?), drops Dependency.exe which is removed and stores a new windocks.exe executable in Application Data, as well as randomized mutexs.

Submitted the sample to a few vendors Wink

New here and your second and third posts are posting applications without source code. With the amount of stupidity in people, anyone can take advantage of it which is why we are all skeptical.

AVs aren't going to help with this one. I'll do some analysis of the file.

That's okay.
Made some changes, uploaded new link!
Anyone who downloaded already, newer version is in the main post.

These are dependency files. Scan both dependency.exe and windocks.exe

One of your dependency files is conclusively malware. I have a hard time believing this is unintentional.
