After several months of research, I took the plunge and got myself a wallet!!

I am now waiting for my info to get cleared, so I can place a BTC order :3

I am beyond excited, and even though my account shows big fat zeros, I am somehow feeling huge and grinning ear to ear Smiley

Looking so much forward to be a part of this!

Well, it's the idea of myself being in control of my own "money".

Also, I love to try out new and exciting things! I am going so far in my dreaming right now as to imagine selling my own trade items (arts and crafts) for Bitcoins exclusively, to help support the emergence of the trade ^_^

I might be too fast here though, as I am very very new Smiley

If you want to open your own online store I have seen this shop software intergrated with bitcoin:

http://www.prestashop.com/

Here's an example of it in use:

Congrats!

Friendly advice: Be as enthusiastic about proper wallet security as you are about getting your first coins. Smiley

Thank you! ^_^

And yes, I am very conscious. My wallet is on blockchain, and I have the infos stored right.
Once I'm done with the whole faucet thing, I'll be switching my BTC address. Smiley

I will be setting up an offline wallet as well, where I'll transfer my BTCs once it's more serious (e.g. when my first purchase of BTC goes through).

Can wallets get hacked and stolen?

Yes they can... It doesn't happen much but some viruses are wallet stealers that steal wallet.dat files... Wallets that are stored on local machines are safer than online wallets though.

Yep, that is why I will have both an online and an offline wallet.
