Hello,
I am speaking long term only (years)
Which currency (LTC, PPC, FTC, ...) has the more chances to survive.
Example, seems some resist to 51% attack.
My opinion is that governments MIGHT attack the BTC (in many ways and forms). I don't know how nor when. I know a lot disagree with this (they can legalize, they can't shutdown BTC or they'll have to shutdown internet, ...).
This is my opinion.

So I look for a safer currency to invest in (not to trade)

I reckon there are some things to take into consideration :

- even if a alt currency goes up, still people mostly exchange their fiat to BTC. Then eventually BTC to an alt currency.
- BTC are a bit spendable while alt are not. I don't know if this is necessary to have a rise in a alt...
- Exchangers are (IMO) very unsafe. I will try to do some exchanges and withdraw immediately...
- not sure if confirmation delay is important... it is maybe not necessary an alt become accepted everywhere (because of quick confirmation) to rise...?

Thank you very much.
