I think you should come to grips with the fact that off-the-shelf commodity hardware of ANY sort is not going to mine bitcoin ever again in any meaningful capacity with the advent of dedicated bitcoin mining ASIC hardware and stop looking. Dedicated hardware is always going to be billions of times faster and more efficient (without exaggeration).
I was already aware of that ( thanks for helping out on my previous question :-) from a few posts ago, but considering the STM7007 has the ability to performing other cryptographic functions I was just curious if it had any correlations to other altcoins. If it doesn't, then I guess I'll drop my hope of off-the-shelf commodity hardware for now....
( looking forward to the SHA3 hardware implementations. From what I've heard, Virginia Tech has already fabricated a few but it looks more like proof of concept then something ready to hit full on manufacturing )
