Some mystery rig in China

My friend in Shenzhen sent me this pic alluding that it may be a rig in said city.  That's it, no other info.  He asked if we could rent a cheap office and make one too.  I don't know much about mining or equipment, except that I missed the boat.  Still interesting though.  Hopefully more info will come later.

Anyone have any idea what these could be, and how many GH/s this "rig" could do?

Ya, a close-up would be nice, hopefully tomorrow.  He did say it was a company in SZ, just re-read it.  Wondering if it is a stolen pic, lots of that going on over there.  

Who knows whats available or possible there though, I read somewhere that something like 90% of all electronics have at least 1 component manufactured in Shenzhen.

i find BFL/Avalon rigs for people and put together LTC rigs as well.  A few days ago I put together a computer with an AMD7990 video card for someone. I tell every person the same thing - that people online argue that its better to buy a machine, and others argue its better to buy bitcoins or litecoins. every investor i've talked to chose to buy a machine.

dairy100, you are the smart one, not sure about your customers.  The guys who got rich during the gold rush were the ones selling the shovels, the miners didn't care how little their chance was of finding gold, they blew their money on equipment just to have the chance.  BTC mining is similar, people are blinded by the prospect and are willing to pay for anything that gives them a minute chance.

I'm counting 13 racks, each with 2 boxes, each box with 12 blades. If those really are ASIC miner blades, and 10 GH per blade, then that would mean it's a rig with 3,120 GH/s ...

which is not THAT much anymore these days.

Tineye reverse image search didn't turn up anything.

You can get cheap office space anywhere, Detroit is practically paying people to use up space there.

A drive down some of their streets and you will find rows of blocks with abandoned buildings... quite creepy.

Problem is then you need Detroit power, which isn't exactly competitive price-wise..  Business may be a different rate, but residential is essentially $.135 KW/H (you get a block each day at a lower rate, but just normal computing and lighting and TV exceeds that in my household)

to me it looks like is ASIC and not GPU.... not too sure tho..

Sure looks like ASICMINER blades to me.  The ethernet connections are in the right place and the yellow LEDs are the right color.
