Linux is much better than W7 x64 Ultimate... for a lot of things.
only W7 Ultimate can change OS language & BitLocker Drive encryption.... the other W7 cant (Basic, Starter, Bussines).
W7 Starter & Basic are limited to 2GB Ram, also very limited desktop configuration.
Ubuntu can install or change any OS language.
Boots faster... Faster to Install... needs less Ram... but can have all the Ram your board allows.
can be installed from an USB drive very easy...
Internet is ready from day 1, no need to install WiFi drivers with Qpcom.
Ubuntu software center has almost all software available for Linux ready to install. (No need to Browse internet, enter web pages, figure out where its the download page, click more to download, search the HDD, and Install the software.)
also...
i can browse internet with no lag @ 100% cpu load!! doing F@H SMP2.
try that on Windows.-
Ubuntu has better Multi-CPU load balancing.
i can choose if i want the (X)(_)([_]) on the left like OSX or on the right like Windows7,
GLMatrix screen saver its amazing!
W7 Aereo its very nice...
Ubuntu 4 desktops (Ctrl+Alt+Arrows) are very interesting.
AMD/ATI has drivers for multiple desktops in Windows7 but... feels like a weird add-on.
