Hi,

I tried electrum this week and I totally love it. It perfectly fits my needs. I like the fact that uses a deterministic wallet and also that it shows the number of transactions of each address. Probably I will discover more things that I like as I keep using it.

My only concern is the fact that it is dependent on servers. Will it be possible to recover my bitcoins if electrum servers disappear?

I know this is probably a newbee question. I have tried to look for a FAQ at the documentation web and couldn't find any.

Short answer: Yes, of course. You can just export your private keys at any time, even if all servers were to be destroyed by a big nuclear bomb one day.
