I myself have got fed up about the cost of casascius coins, it really feels like a massive kick in the teeth buying one bitcoin with two bitcoins.

A friend of mine owns a coin minting company, so I can get a good deal on high quality brass coins. And of course I know a few suppliers who an produce the tamper evident stickers.

I would sell not only BTC coins but other altcoins (litecoins, namecoins, devcoins etc).

The question is, would anyone be interested?

I would sell them for approximately .3btc over btc value, this would be the same for altcoins.

Dependent on the response I get, I may follow through with this.

I would be, and I believe others would be also. Casascius coins are great but I dont need silver or gold with my Bitcoins.

There have been some of the casascius aluminum coins selling lately, I bought some myself, but I would like to see some other cheap coin designs.

I would probably keep it as a copper plated coin, or something similar.

How many would you want to order?

Just wondering, I would probably make an initial order of 200 coins and then see if I can sell them

What about altcoins?

Can Quarks be made?  And how much would it cost to make 100 such coins and how much would it cost to make 1000?  I think that if the price is right, the Quark community would be quite interested in having physical Quark coins and notes.

(By the way, Quark community is a pretty large one.  In terms of size they are probably 3rd after Bitcoin and Litecoin.)

Not sure if you're still doing this, but it's a great idea!  The physical coins are definitely going to attract a lot of attention and even become a new market itself

I'd be more interested in a 99% silver coin.  I know that would probably require quite a bit more start up capitol, simply based on materials used and perhaps the forging process? (not quite familiar with it all).  But having a nice, silver piece just like an american eagle that has not only the bitcoin value but intrinsic metal value would be epic.  I think whoever pioneers this segment of the market first will make a killing if altcoins continue their march towards being mainstream.
