Sorry if it sounds VERY ironic that an alt has been the 2000000th account on this platform, but there are quite a few things that I have to tell you all, possibly a new post will be better. I started as a small BTC speculative investor and cared little about the tech, I then became a shitposting Bounty Hunter. But over the months I've come to realize that it's much more than being either of them. I am trying to learn about the technology, not only BTC, but also the alts. I feel that the socio-economic impact/aspect of this revolution will be far more reaching than just the tech and it is yet to come, although I still am a noob and monetize my original account (can't help it, the pay is lucrative); I try to improve my posts and contribute to the community in  the small ways that I can.




1. I'll never partake in any form of campaigns from this account or monetize it.

2. I'll never ShitPost using this account to maintain the decorum of the forum.

Yeah, there's tens of thousands alt accounts, huge number of spambots and users who didn't made any single post. But despite these factors 2 millions is amazing number of users, it's more than population of some countries

Not sure if we will ever reach that.  The active users (ones that have logged in within last 90 days, or having trust or posts) is dropping...

So many accounts were just created and never used in the last few months...

It is down to 887,673 right now. Do you know what the peak number was? It will interesting to see if the decrease accelerates 90 days after 24th Jan when Merit was introduced as I'd guess a lot of account farmers gave up then.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't keep track of the number of active accounts, but this could actually be a good thing.
Still, only about 13,000 accounts ever received merit. Most of thouse 887k accounts won't be missed.

there amount of users is not really a good measurement and even the amount of active users is not.
So for me this is not a celebration time. Would be better to have more active and good merited posts.
This is much more interesting as the amount of Accounts here.

I checked the website here http://dev.martinlawrence.ca/bpip/ and it is mentioned there that if a user does not sign in for 90 days, account is deleted. Is this true even if I have good number of posts already ? It is deleted or deactivated.

No, it is not true. Accounts are neither deleted or deactivated due to inactivity. Vod's site is simply telling you the number of inactive accounts by that definition.
