I am not gonna be a dedicated miner ,but what speeds should I expect. Also how high do you think I can overlock this?

My roommate has a 6850 and gets 225 mhash/sec with it.

About 250 Mhps.

A 5850 would be a better choice in your price range (~400 Mhps):

Also, I have read some not so favorable reviews of Powercolor cards on this forum - Sapphire or MSI seem to be the best for mining.

That would get you around 0.1-0.15 BTC per day.
