Dear all

I am running bitcoin-qt under arch linux.

I recently transfered some coins from an online service to the wallet on my local machine. The client shows the coins received in it's transaction list, and blockchain into shows the transaction so everything at first seemed hunky dory.

But..... The total sum of bitcoins in the wallet has decreased.

I have opened bitcoin-qt with the --rescan option twice but it hasn't fixed the problem.

Any ideas?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Maybe because of fees? Don't know whether they apply on that.

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}

No, I have taken fees into account. The drop is in my balance is much bigger than can be accounted for by fees.

The strange thing is, the transactions are listed in the client for every transaction since the wallet was created, but the total given is wrong.

Any one know what this is?

No, but you can lock it so nobody else replies to it.
