What happens if a transaction is confirmed 1/6 but it's in the confirmed balance?
What would happen if it doesn't get confirmed and how does a transaction get confirmed?

It's already a confirmed balance, 1 confirmation is fine for most transactions.
But if you want some extra security you can wait for more confirmations (e.g. if it's a very big amount).
Confirmations are the number of blocks found after the inclusion of your transaction.

If it doesn't get at least one confirmation, you are not able to spend it.
