I'm not sure what I am doing wrong or if my hub is just defective. I plugged a 750 watt Thermaltake PSU into the hub, then connected the usb to my laptop. Turned on the psu and it fires up. If I plug an erupter into slot #1 my psu shuts off immediately. If I use the ports closes to the atx plug i can get up to 6 recognized, drivers installed and lights solid green. If I plug anymore in, drivers install but the green led never even blinks. If I continue plugging in erupters it will shut off my psu after a couple more. Any advice?

Had this exact problem too.  I checked 5V at PSU and was only 3.5V!  This is a 550w OCZ powerstream I had used for years and just taken out of service to use with the hub because of it's 35A 5V rail.  Found out the PSU needed a load on the 12V rail for the 5V to output correctly.

Don't know if the same as your problem but hope that helps.  Ended up powering a BFL single along with the 49 port hub full of erupters. Grin
