Hi guys,

I see lots of different wallets on the market. What would you suggest for a beginner? Hardware, paper or online?

Online wallets (or exchanges) are something you want to stay away from. If they get hacked, your funds are gone.

Paper wallets are good but they can get wet etc. If you're not careful. They are also not that good when It comes to spending on a regular basis, as you will be exposing the private keys.

Hardware wallets (Precisely Trezor) is a very great choice and I would really recommend it and as for supporting your coin, they are actively working on adding more (I know that Monero is coming soon).

I would say paper wallets are the best, but even though they're quite easy to setup, they're quite difficult to setup well. You'd have to take A LOT of safety precautions. So I'd suggest  using hardware wallets like the Trezor[1] and a Ledger Nano S[2] instead, as they're pretty easy to use, and you're pretty much safe as long as you store your recovery seed(s) safely, non-digitally.

As with IOTA though,  I'm pretty sure ledger and trezor are willing to add them, it's just that wallets in general for IOTA are just really bad right now. maybe in the future.

The most secure wallet option would be a hardware wallet--Trezor, Keepkey, or Ledger Nano. They cost more, but if you're holding a large sum of crypto, it's your best bet.

My favourite wallets or mostly used are Blockchain and Metamask/MyEtherWallet, but i also use exchanger market (such as Bittrex Kucoin etc) as a wallet.
For the hardware, imo Ledger Nano S is pretty nice to use.

One day i started using cryptocurrencies, and there was no doubt in choice - i'll use only core wallet from official dev team.

Hardware wallet is the best option within paper or online.. Paper is the next one. But it is not much safety. Papers can steel and easily paper can be damaged. Online wallets are not recommended. . Because it can be easily hacked.

yes friend. you are right. But the thing is MEW can be easily hacked. It was hacked several times within last few months. So using MEW remember to use with Metamask. Other wise you will be in a trouble.

My favourite crypto wallet is the hardware wallet. I am using Ledger Nano S and I feel safe using it. You can use it with MEW to better secure the browsing session. For other coins not supported by my hardware wallet, I will use the official wallets by the developers.

In the moment I am using Metamask (this is my favourite) and Eidoo, I also tried the Waves platform. I am thinking about buying a hardware wallet, becouse I started to worry about the safety of my coins as they grew in value. I checked the Ledger Nano S and the Trezor Wallet, and I liked the Ledger more. Do any of you guys have experience with either (or both) of them?

Have been using blockchain.info as my main bitcoin wallet for years now without problem, it can also be used to store ether and bitcoin cash. Just use some of the more advanced security options like 2fa and ip restrictions to make your account a bit more safe. If you want a safer option to hold a large number of coins then you should probably opt forr a paper wallet. Tutorials on how to make paper wallets can be found everywhere, even here on the forum.
