Please share you vision of Bitcoin. What do you want it to be? What, in your opinion, is the single most desirable characteristic of Bitcoin?

I voted the first option, commerce.

While I wouldn't be against my BTC suddenly worth a million dollars, it's not what's the most important (since who knows what the chances are).

With first option, option #2 would come for early BTC adopters.

Hi, thank you for participating. I will reserve my comments regarding the significance of the various options until the end of the poll, as not to unduly influence voter opinion.

I feel strongly in favour of an unregulated currency. Then again BTC also offers many other advantages. Hopefully it can be an enabler of beneficial socioeconomical change. We'll just have to see Smiley

The online gambling industry is $38bln and we feel that the provability of bitcoin gambling games will cut into the traditional online gambling industry in a big way over the next few years, and will help drive the bitcoin demand and market cap single-handedly to around $20bln (therefore making each btc worth way over $1k).

Currently, I would really like to see the Bitcoin ATMs popping up at airport terminals.
No more exuberant fees for changing dollars to euro when flying from the states to Paris!

That would be cool and it would increase the velocity of the BTC by constantly changing.

But one major crash during the 10 hours of flight would not be wanted though...

Hi Danny, please suggest poll option/options that would reflect your view.

I went for "Serve as the dominant medium of exchnage in trade and commerce."
Any other of those option just doesn't seem that fit to be the main objective of BTC.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

Not all of the proposed options are mutually compatible, specifically, the more something is favored as a store of value or investment the less likely it is likely to be used as a currency for daily transactions. But I agree that all these options are realizable.
