Hi there,

I'm brand new to this forum and have some questions about your experiences getting / offering services for BTC, since I'm starting to offer my graphic design & illustration service in exchange for Bitcoin / Litecoin (I'll publish it in the right section of the forum soon!).
I understand it may be easier to work with international customers.

Do you use any escrow services? if so, which one do you prefer? Did you have any complications for implementing BTC as a payment method?

Any other insights about this topic are welcome!

Use common sense when you do business in this forum.
And don't trust people you don't know with your money...

Yes, Sebastian, always use an escrow. Never trust anyone in the Bitcoin world. Bitcoins are irreversible, so beware of scammers. This is more true today than ever considering how even a very small amount of bitcoins is worthy money.

I was hired by a reputable member, so I sent the finished product (without escrow), and he sent me the money!

you should probably spend hours and hours browsing the forums and the world wide web before doing it. i don't feel 100% comfortable yet, but i'm getting a chase checking account. there are so many ins and outs that it can be really confusing.

i like localbitcoins for in-person meets, but it hasn't been that successful for me so far (only 2 days of doing it though).
