All of the various faucets and "free bit coin" type stuff I've seen is basically a waste of time, in that the amount you can earn (some microscopic amount) of Bitcoins is in no way worth my time. It's more efficient for me to just work some more in the real world, and then buy Bitcoins with the money generated from that. You don't have to be earning very much for this to be the case.
That said, I like the idea of transitioning to some part-time work that is paid directly in Bitcoins. It would be kinda fun, and as the Bitcoin rises it backwards-increases the value of the hours of work I've already done (I guess as with any investment).
