According to the Venezuelan minister of foreign trade, Jose Vielma Mora, Venezuelan state-backed cryptocurrency, petro, is being considered by Russia to be used for international transactions.

A high-level Russian-Venezuelan intergovernmental meeting taking place in Caracas is discussing series of issues, bilateral cooperation in the military area, railway projects in Venezuela and food production.
The meeting aims at strengthening the alliance between the two countries and the strategic partnerships between key companies. According to officials from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the Bolivarian government of Venezuela is adding the crypto currency Petro to the conversation.

I’m not on petro coin investment, but this a good news and might be the turning point for me consider in investing before it’s too late. A cryptocurrency coin backed by Venezuelan government and with the help of Russia this will get into something in a new level.
