What happened::
I made a deposited to cloudbet on March 30, https://blockchain.info/address/19n7oXe8rj5u1TAasfuqEmw1b9hWd6Aexg and later I found out they blocked United States IP address. So I made a withdraw on the same date. Now I waited over 109 hours and still no bitcoin. This is my withdrawal address https://blockchain.info/address/3AJ9qjY6LiL2iMCSyj5TeGGLeimviWGiUu

Still no withdrawal to the address, it seems.

Were you unable to place any bets on their site because of a blocked IP but they still allowed you to deposit?

Regardless of whether a US IP is blocked or not, if they accepted a deposit from you that means they are obligated to pay you back. BTW, did you bet anything before requesting that withdrawal? There was a thread before where the OP wanted to withdraw from cloudbet without betting anything, perhaps it's the same issue with yours.

5 days for a simple withdrawal is not acceptable. Hopefully cloudbet is able to respond to this quickly.

Unfortunately CloudBet gotten progressively worse over the past year. They had an incident where they voided a bunch of legitimate winning bets while allowing the losing bets (on the same game) to go through, and since then their site has been full of problems.

However most people still got their withdraws so I wouldn't call them a scam yet. Wait to see what their support says about your payment. Make sure you document every chat log, email, etc. Worse case scenario, you would need the evidence to submit a report on https://www.sportsbookreview.com/. Gambling sites hate bad press so issues on sportsbookreview generally get solved pretty quickly.

If/When you get your withdraw, never play on CloudBet again. I would recommend NitrogenSports or Fairlay as they are 2 bitcoin sportsbooks I've had no issues with in the past.

I am unable to place any bet at all. When cloudbet took my deposit the cloudbet platform automatically told me I have to withdrawal my bitcoin.

Right. If that is the case then there is really no reason for them to hold up the withdrawal at all. They are the ones that are requesting you to withdraw your coins as soon as you deposited because betting is apparently disabled for your country's IP. Plus, your withdrawal shouldn't even need to be manually approved as its amount is not even that big(under 0.5 BTC).

Although I'd like to ask, where did you see the promise of withdrawals being processed within 24 hours? I don't see it in their FAQ.

Unfortunately CloudBet gotten progressively worse over the past year.

I would definitely say that Nitrogen is a better choice for now, and Cloudbet is very shady at best. I've had delayed withdrawals with them in the past, but usually they are processed within 1 hour and OP has been waiting for 100+ hours according to him.

--snip--

Note that they say typically. This is usually done so that they can't be accused of sending withdrawals late. You can't cite that section of their site to them either as they will just respond with that your withdrawal isn't a "typical" one.

Nice to hear. Well, your country isn't supported anyways so there is no point using them. If you use a VPN to escape the country restrictions I think you'll just land yourself into even more trouble since they are quite strict with multiaccounting.

Have you asked them why they have taken so long to process your withdrawal? They can't just do it without any sort of reasoning.

I'd like to hear a reason for why Cloudbet bans US IPs from playing but they are still able to somehow register and deposit according to OP. To avoid trouble like this in the future, shouldn't you just ban US players completely from registering and depositing?

Also, if OP consents, could the reason for taking so long to process a withdrawal be published publicly please.

IMHO if you want to gain trust and be successful in this business, you should have clear guidelines of how withdrawals are handled so that people can expect the outcomes. Not vague stuff like withdrawals will be "typically" processed within 24h. State a clear maximum time frame and stick to it. Also based on the chat logs, support seem to have absolutely no idea when the withdrawal will hit either. The least Cloudbet could have done was tell him an ETA and a reason. Otherwise, there is no point of having a support there at all.

Hi timerland, thank you for your feedback, and I hope I can address some of these points.

With regard to the US, we do restrict players from both registering and logging in.

In terms of our withdrawal procedure, over 90% of withdrawals are processed instantaneously.  For larger withdrawals, we are required to run due diligence checks and, in some extreme cases, require proof of ID. In these cases the process time is not in our hands as we have to wait for a player response before we can legally release funds.

I appreciate that a clear and definitive timeframe would be preferred and have fed this back to our customer support team. I am not able to share the reason for the delay in OP's withdrawal publicly. Generally speaking, larger withdrawals are processed manually which is more time consuming, but the vast majority of withdrawals are instantaneous.

If you have any further questions, do please let me know.

Thanks,
Peter @ Cloudbet

But OP was able to register and deposit, but he wasn't able to bet anything. What caused that?

You mentioned "for larger withdrawals". But how large do the withdrawals have to be to have to be manually processed by your team? This is why I'm saying you should have clear schedules and timeframes for withdrawals. Otherwise, the players don't even know how long they will have to wait for. Also, for OP there was no ID checks(or at least he didn't mention it at all), so the processing time was indeed in your hands.

His withdrawal isn't even that large, it's under $2k and most crypto casinos will process those withdrawals instantaneously.

BTW, do you still have the policy of the user only able to withdraw after they place one or more bets, or is that abolished now?

Good questions. Cloudbet still needs to answer these. Otherwise, the more reasonable assumption to make based on the information we have so far is that Cloudbet is a scamming service.

Can we have exact numbers for this?

Vaguely stating "larger" or "extreme" doesn't mean much to the prospective user. At least a range would do, in case anyone needs to prepare for delays in their withdrawals.

Yes, this is very true. The Bitcointalk community has repeatedly asked Cloudbet this information, which they have clearly been unable to provide.

I think it's relatively sound to conclude that Cloudbet is a scam. If you make an account with them, deposit at your own risk.

Look at all the other unresolved threads on the issue:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5137525.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5146444.20

Also, their policy of punishing VPN users is also unfair. Using a VPN is not a crime.

Morning all,

This complaint was actually made before I joined Cloudbet, so I had to do a little bit of digging to catch up.

Firstly, looking at the account I can confirm that the player's withdrawal was processed (check the wallet posted by OP for confirmation).

I believe the problem here was the timing, ie the deposit was made around the same time we stopped accepting US customers.

@actmyname - I'll try and get some definite numbers that I'm able to share, I do think that would clear up a lot of the speculation and be a benefit for both sides.

@TheRealAwesome31312 - As far as I'm aware both of those issues are resolved directly by our support teams, the players just didn't come back to update the thread, which is understandable given that they look like newbie accounts that were created to seek help on those specific problems.

I think it's relatively sound to conclude that Cloudbet is a scam.

We've been around (and active on BCT) for almost 6 years now and would not have lasted this long by 'scamming' our customers.

Also, their policy of punishing VPN users is also unfair. Using a VPN is not a crime.

No it is not, however since a lot of VPN usage is associated with attempts to bypass our territory restrictions it can raise some red flags.

VPN usage is not necessarily for bypassing territory restrictions. In this day and age people use VPNs so their ISP cannot snoop through their data, so it is crucial that any crypto service allows VPN use.

I did not find anything prohibiting VPN use on your website's Terms and Conditions.

What you mean you're "Glad"? Are you implying that only some of the lucky chosen customers are able to withdraw their funds from your website on time? lol It's shameful how one has to wait for ages to get their own money.

You're reading too far into it. Let's not dissect semantics to try and wring out some conspiracy.

Glad to see that. I'm hoping you'll have the results soon. Hidden terms are not beneficial to prospective customers. Smiley
