Why do I even bother with this coin ? What is the innovation and what is different from Monero ?

You will get best explanation here: https://www.reddit.com/r/masari/comments/8fh6nn/what_sets_msr_apart_from_monero_and_other_monero/?st=JGKQ09BV&sh=eb847c5b

Good post, thx

I think its finally at the floor. Finally seeing some bigger buy orders (2K-5K MSR). If the ASICS have dumped, there aren't many more MSR to go around. Buy them while you can.

The source from which existing things derive their existence is also that to which they return at their destruction.

So in the interest of pure speculation: thoughts on 2018 benchmark prices?

end of first quarter: 2500 sats seems to be a solid point of support
2nd Quarter: ?
3rd Quarter: ?
4th Quarter: ?

Here are my guesses. 2nd Quarter: 10,000 sats 3rd Quarter: 20,000 sats, 4th Quarter: 30,000 Sats

Any other want to chime in with their guesses?

I will be happy for 20000 sats to the end of the year, that's my target.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It passed 20k sats ($2) two weeks after you guys wrote that. Two weeks, not two quarters.

Here is my wild guess: It will be at $20+ during this summer's crypto bull market.

Everybody thought the price will drop after the fork and network upgrade...Why do you think now, guys ?

Seriously, which "everybody" thought that? Just curious.

I stand by my prediction: Above $20 during this summer's crypto bull run.

I've been through this price evolution with several coins in the past, right from their genesis. They are all in the double digit USD range now, some triple digit. Take Decred for instance. Poor early miners who sold at $2.50 after one month, just to see it go to $25 one bull market later, then $70 or so, then $130 and in the next run it hit shortly $170 very recently (on Poloniex at least).

Everyone who is selling most of their Masari holdings now in the single digit range, will cry later. No matter if they entered at $1 recently or if they mined them very early on.

There is only one reason to sell a very solid coin like Masari early. If you desperately need some money to not starve. Even in that case I'd suggest to go in the park, collect some littered PET bottles and return them to a store cashing out the deposit. It makes financially more sense than to sell the coins. And it keeps you at the fresh air and healthy and the nature clean.

EDIT: As I wrote in the Masari thread, I sold slowly 25% of my stash at every 100 sat step as the coin climbed over 20k sat. Knowing perfectly well that it will likely retract again below the psychological $2 mark. Also in order to lower my exposure (I have a lot). Then some retarded angry ASIC miner started to dump and I bought back all at 15k, for a 25% discount.

You sell very slowly when it goes up (sell orders placed at previously calculated exit levels. No emotions!). You buy back during deep dips when some jerks panic sell. BTFD! That way you end up with lots of cash and sometimes with not much less coins in your wallet than when you started the journey. I could have bought back another 25% cheaper, as it turned out. But nobody knows this before it happens and I couldn't believe anyone was so retarded to dump so desperately 2-3 days before the anti-ASIC HF.

$20 by when? End of Summer? So, August? What makes you so sure?

During the coming bull market, whenever it may peak.

What makes you so sure?

Experience.

Nothing is "sure". It's a bet I consider quite likely, hence I hodl/trade my coins accordingly.

Ah, I see. I do think that MSR will find a good place in the next bull run. I do hope we are right on your call. I am holding as well and also agree that selling your coins early will be a huge gamble/ terrible choice. The lads that sold it to me in the thousands at .05 - .08 are no doubt kicking themselves now.

I think once the GUI wallet comes, cheap MSR will be a thing of the past. I do miss 800 sat MSR and huge sell orders.  Cry Cry Cry

I just read about this coin, what really draw my attention was the web-wallet connecting directly to the blockchain. Still in beta but I think this is a pretty cool feature to have: https://wallet-beta.masaricoin.com/#index
