At the height of block 1807238, XMC's main network began to suffer from malicious computing attacks, which caused severe fluctuations in the computing power of the main network. In addition to affecting the adjustment of the normal network block output speed and difficulty, this calculation attack has also resulted in some block data reorganization and abnormal front-end earnings display of the mine pool (according to the longest chain principle, due to the reorganization of some block data caused by the attacker, most of the revenue of the mine pool has not been recognized by the longest chain of XMC main network in essence). After careful ecological discussions between XMC team and adhering to the attitude of being responsible to XMC ecological participants, in order to protect the rights and interests of normal users of XMC, XMC team decided not to roll back this attack, and normal transactions of XMC users would not be affected. At the same time, in order to strengthen XMC network security, improve the efficiency of difficulty adjustment algorithm and perfect the Algorithm logic of XMC, XMC team will upgrade the algorithm of XMC main network in the near future to ensure good and high-quality network services for XMC ecology.
