Can we have a board dedicated to art and writing? Not only to encourage more opportunity in the Bitcoin service industry but just to expand our community overall. Kiba has an excellent art thread going and I have had my stint with short stories. There has also been one or two offers for art-related services as well.

In summary, the Marketplace is too broad at the moment and this specialization will benefit those with less tangible services in the arts.

Yay or Nay?

Until I see more arts and story writing, I don't see the point.

Well, you have to consider such a board might ignite more interest in arts and writing. Like they say, "If you build it, they will come."

I am not sure if it will happens. I don't want to fracture the forum into tiny sections but we could find out by running a one week experiment to see if writing and artworks start to increase in numbers.

http://witcoin.com

Would welcome artists to share their stories and artwork and people can easily appreciate you by sending witcoins.

This would help bootstrap a bitcoin site along the way.

Leave the forum for bitcoin and take user generated content where it can be easily compensated.

if the marketplace is fractured too much, it will just be too much for people to check. i.e. not only do you have the bitcoin discussion, development, etc. etc. to check, but you have too many subsections(that is if you want people to be exposed to your art and stories). maybe when the forums become more popular this will be necessary though.

IF the marketplace have more posts than Bitcoin Discussion, then I think that meant it's time to split the marketplace forum section.

At the rate Bitcoin is growing, it won't be long. I imagine this forum becoming very large one day. Although, I kind of like the intimacy of what we have today.

true but i guess alot of people still read the discussion, but most more in the marketplace, the marketplace is non massively important immediate stuff.
