Bitstamp is currently down. We do not know if this is a problem with Bitstamp itself or if the site has been hacked, or if it has been shut down by a government entity. If you have any information please add your comment in the section below.

he may be blog spam but bitstamp has been returning HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable.  Seems to be back up but very slow.

Coinbase.com also returned a few HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable today.

I would guess some minor Ddosing going on to drive the price down.

Bitstamp is currently down. We do not know if this is a problem with Bitstamp itself or if the site was eaten by dinosaurs, went into the future or if it had a bad hair day. Actually we don't know anything about it, but like to sound very serious. If you have any information please add your comment in the section below.

fixed.
Probably a DDOS, isn't it?

With the talk of DDoS:-

This is old, but if you haven't seen it , it's worth watching.

I won't ever ask for a loan nor offer any escrow service. If I do, please consider my account as hacked.

Actually I was listening to that song on one of drops just after I got into Bitcoin.
Somehow it was quite soothing (and I didn't panicsell Cheesy), good old stuff ^^
