Yeah I pointed a small computing cluster at Protoshares, and have about 1000 PTS. I'm not going to sell that off for $20.
I will sell 1 PTS for ~ 0.035 BTC each since the Protoshares will get you DomainShares, BitShares, etc later on.

I suspect Satoshi is running to you for buying all your PTS at that price Wink

.1 BTC for 2000 PTS => $25 for 2000 PTS => $0.625 for 50 PTS

It takes about 8-10 hours of CPU time to get a block. Assuming a 500 Watt PSU, that's 4-5kWh per block. Electricity is about $0.15 per kWh or about $0.60 - $0.75

At best, you're willing to pay the electricity cost of getting the protoshare.

I don't think you're going to get anyone to bite until it's at least 10x that.

Agreed. I'd rather hold then sell at a loss.

Right now people are buying with electricity which will push the difficulty up until a market price is found.    People are paying Digital Ocean prices which are about 3-4x the cost of buying hardware.  So I would venture a guess that the price will continue to rise.  Not that I am biased or anything Smiley

$2.50 for 50 PTS?

It costs $0.60-$0.75 just in electricity to mine this CPU-only coin. There's also the up-front hardware cost, any Digital Ocean rental and the fact that difficulty will be resetting in a week and we probably won't be seeing mining for this cheap for a while.

$8.75 for 1 PTS is a bit much on the other end.

I would guess $.20-$.75/PTS is what we settle at.

I'll try to set the market then. $0.75/PTS up to 25 PTS.

There is so much demand that we will hit block 2016 (1 week) after only 1 day.   So your window to mine cheaply ends in about 6 hours.

Tripled the size of my cluster tonight hopefully that will get me some extra blocks. Nice work on the Momentum algo though. My physical hardware is doing circles around my cloud machines.

$3/PTS and I'll sell you just one block. You forget that some of us are cloud mining, and have to pay server fees. Will sell one block just to get things moving.
