.1 BTC for 2000 PTS => $25 for 2000 PTS => $0.625 for 50 PTS

It takes about 8-10 hours of CPU time to get a block. Assuming a 500 Watt PSU, that's 4-5kWh per block. Electricity is about $0.15 per kWh or about $0.60 - $0.75

At best, you're willing to pay the electricity cost of getting the protoshare.

I don't think you're going to get anyone to bite until it's at least 10x that.

Right now people are buying with electricity which will push the difficulty up until a market price is found.    People are paying Digital Ocean prices which are about 3-4x the cost of buying hardware.  So I would venture a guess that the price will continue to rise.  Not that I am biased or anything Smiley
Now I see where this project is going to, good luck, my buy offer is declined!
Because of Charles there I liked to join this project once, but Cunicula is ultimately right about the ponzi, I see it now!

Because I believe they will be releasing other coins off the protoshares, so you are really buying like 3-4 coins at once. Not to mention is it backed by a company with funding not just some random guy.

OK, thanks every one for your offers, but I see that the currnt price is way above my bid price. So no need for more sell offers,thanks (unless it is actually close to my buy offer).
I will try again at a later time point when the price has gone down Smiley

In terms of a real exchange, there is none at the moment, but you may use this as a refferance: http://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=43.0
